Alsons Properties recently celebrated the completion of Wood Lane, an exclusive two-hectare development located along the Diversion Road beside Woodridge Park, Ma-a, Davao City.
The event started with the blessing of Wood Lane’s clubhouse, the Cabana, officiated by Fr. Bill Larousse. In his message, Fr. Larousse emphasized the importance of recreation for the relaxation of the mind, and with the Cabana built as a venue for wholesome fellowship, residents of the Wood Lane community get just that.
In her welcome address, Alsons Properties Executive Vice President Rosie Dominguez recalled Wood Lane’s unique characteristic that distinguishes it from other developments. The team faced the challenge to create a balance between the exclusivity and the marketability of the project. She noted that since the project has only reached physical competition, the next phase of the development is now a joint effort between Alsons Properties and the lot owners. She gave the assurance that Alsons Properties would take the lead and assist the homeowners in organizing the Wood Lane Homeowners Association.
The lot owners got acquainted over cocktails while enjoying Olive Puentespina’s Malagos Farm cheeses and the splendid menu by Carmina del Rosario’s Crazy Cook catering. Everyone felt at home at Davao City’s latest premier address.
For the conception of the Wood Lane theme, Alsons Properties brought in Manila-based design Architect Leo P. Pariñas of the LPPA Design Group. The Asian Contemporary themed units at Wood Lane highlight a well-planned layout with large corner windows that maximize breathtaking views of the natural environment. Pariñas explained that “generous windows and jalousies allow passive cooling and optimize natural ventilation and day-lighting”. This not only enhances comfort but sustainability.
Adding elegance to Architect Pariñas masterpiece is Charisse Puentespina’s interior design. She noted that “Asian Contemporary design prides itself of its simplicity, spaciousness and elegance that blends indoor and outdoor living, thus answering the needs of urban living”, Moreover, it incorporates “comfortable furniture and a variety of well-appointed finishes that include a combination of wood, glass and fabric that lends to a serene, balances and uncluttered atmosphere.”
This is yet another accomplishments for Alsons Properties, now on its 50th year, with an excellent track record in delivering first-rate residential communities in Davao City, such as Ladislawa Garden Village, Woodridge Park, Las Terrazas, Fernwood, Eden Ridge and Northcrest.
