On August 13, 2017, we invited Eden Ridge lot owners and their families to an exclusive Kadayawan-themed get-together at the Eden Ridge Clubhouse. Aside from being an early celebration of the annual thanksgiving festival, the event also highlighted the unique sense of community future residents can look forward to in Eden Ridge.
“Through this gathering, we hope that our lot owners can get a sneak peek of the lifestyle Eden Ridge offers, while also giving them a chance to meet their future neighbors,” said Eric de la Costa, Vice-President and General Manager of Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev), the homegrown real estate firm behind the vacation home community.
The Kadayawan theme is not just timely, but also consistent with the developer’s vision of Eden Ridge as a place where residents can experience and celebrate the beauty and bounty of nature everyday. Here are some of the event’s highlights:
Madayaw! Welcome to Eden Ridge!
The Clubhouse was decked to recreate the festive Kadayawan vibe. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by cultural performers in full attire, who performed against a colorful backdrop of fresh flowers and Mindanaoan textiles.
Guests enjoyed a long, leisurely lunch buffet at the Clubhouse Lanai, where they were served Davao specialties, such as kinilaw, grilled tuna belly and panga, chicken barbecue, lechon, and fresh fruits.
Bringing the Eden Ridge community to life
After lunch, Alsons Dev Executive Vice President Rosvida A. Dominguez talked about Eden Ridge’s growing community and how continuous nurturing is crucial to making it thrive. She then announced that Alsons Dev is in the process of applying for a SEC Registration for the Eden Ridge Homeowners Association and introduced Eden Ridge’s Interim Board, composed of Virgilio Pepito Estrada, VP of Nest Farms, Inc.; Jose Larry Gallemit Dagpin, Chief Finance Officer of Unifrutti Services, Inc.; Jessa Mae D. Sisi, Sales Manager of Alsons Dev; Jesusa Jumawan Magsakay, Life Underwriter of AXA Philippines; and Dra. Janet Myla Quizon Bonleon, a pediatrician-pulmonologist at Davao Doctors Hospital.
A general assembly for Eden Ridge lot owners is set in November, where they will be able to officially elect their Homeowners Association officers.
A fine day outdoors
In the afternoon, guests explored Eden Ridge at their leisure. Most visited the Farmer’s Market set up at the Village Park Gazebo, which featured fresh produce and plants from local vendors from the Eden community. Refreshing durian and mango sorbetes, as well as fresh sweet corn on the cob were also served at the Village Park.
Kids also enjoyed the Village Park’s many amenities for sports and play, where they got to meet new friends.
Others took a stroll along the linear parks to take selfies against scenic backdrops and stopped by the Community Garden, where they were able to pick fresh produce like eggplants, lettuce, and spring onions, and take home sprigs of eucalyptus leaves.
“From the sumptuous lunch, to the Kadayawan entertainment, to their very unique and healthy giveaways—[these] really show how Alsons takes care of their clients,” said Eden Ridge buyer Danna Advincula-Faistauer.
Eden Ridge is excited to welcome future homeowners into the community. Through top-notch facilities and surroundings filled with lush greenery, residents are sure to enjoy an abundance of nature’s gifts here everyday.
