Ladislawa Garden Village lights up for Christmas

Ladislawa Garden Village lights up for Christmas

The homeowners of Ladislawa Garden Village welcomed the Yuletide season with a dazzling light display set up in the community’s clubhouse. The holiday event, organized by the Ladislawa Garden Village Homeowners Association Inc. (LGVHAI), began with a thanksgiving mass held at the pavilion. The event’s highlight was the lighting of the Belen and Christmas tree, which was followed by a buffet dinner and festive Children’s Christmas Party. Let’s take a look at the event’s highlights: Rev. Fr. James Narisma prayed for continuous blessings and guidance for the LGVHAI and the residents. LGVHAI Board of Directors led the countdown as residents eagerly await the dazzling display. The lighting of the traditional Belen and the sparkling Christmas tree ushered in the holiday cheer. Christmas is for kids: Kids and kids at heart enjoyed a one-of-a-kind North Pole experience. Kids were engrossed in a Christmas show featuring adorable sock puppets. Nothing beats a bountiful Christmas feast with family and friends. How are you celebrating Christmas in your community? Six Ways to Get a Tropical Contemporary Look for Your Home

Six Ways to Get a Tropical Contemporary Look for Your Home

Tropical contemporary chic is in for the long haul. With the right furniture and accessories, you can embrace nature and give your home that fun, fresh, and relaxing look. Here are some design tips to help you get started. Be bold with colors Pops of vivid colors Go for rich and vibrant colors to perk up your home. Try bright greens, citrus yellows, and ocean blues to add life to your palette. Mix and match colors to make sure they pop against that neutral background.   Work with natural materials Natural materials evoke that tropical feel Complement your home’s vibrant colors with furniture and accessories that are made from natural materials. Wicker, bamboo, rattan, and pandan bring in a tropical feel and add texture and interest. Look for woven materials in rugs, placemats, baskets, wall coverings, and chandeliers. Experiment by choosing furniture with woven inserts on headboards, footboards, and cabinets. Add flair with hardwood Rich hardwood for that exquisite touch Bring rich wood textures to give an exquisite touch to your tropical contemporary interior. Think hardwood like kamagong, narra, yakal, and molave. These materials are excellent for a warm and welcoming touch.   Decorate with shells and stones Capiz accents for that whimsical touch Add a whimsical touch to your space with classy accessories made of shells or stones. The subtle, shiny white surface of the shells is a wonderful highlight that will stand out against the rich shades of wooden flooring and furniture. Try capiz shells fashioned into sliding doors, windows, decorative lighting, and kitchenware. Patterns, patterns, patterns Go for palm prints and exotic florals for a fresh...

Into the Woods: Spooktacular Moments at the Woodridge Halloween Party

In their best costumes, kids and kids-at-heart took part in the annual Woodridge Halloween Party last October 31, 2018. This spooktacular event, a decade-long tradition hosted by the Woodridge Park Homeowners Association, featured an unlimited house-to-house trick-or-treat activity and a thrilling Horror House at the covered gym. With the theme “Into the Woods,” homeowners went all out to transform the usually serene neighborhood by decking festive jack-o-lanterns and jaunty-looking witches and ghosts. Also scattered around the village were impressive art installations inspired by Asian folklore. Let’s take a look at some of the event’s highlights: We look forward to next year’s celebration! Community & Camaraderie: The Ladislawa Garden Village Fiesta

Community & Camaraderie: The Ladislawa Garden Village Fiesta

Ladislawa Garden Village residents once again took the “fiesta” experience to a whole new level with the Ladislawa Village Fiesta. The annual event, spearheaded by the Ladislawa Garden Village Homeowners Association Inc., was held on October 20 – 21 in observance of the feast day of the community’s patron saint Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Our Lady of the Rosary). For two days, the residents and their guests were treated to various events like a fun run, fitness classes, and many more recreational activities for the whole family! Here are some great snaps filled with wonderful memories worth sharing: Families gathered at the Ladislawa Country Club to officially start the festivities. What is fiesta without a band? These instrumentalists got the homeowners grooving to the beat.  Residents worked up a sweat without skipping a beat during their morning exercise. The Zumba fitness craze was the perfect way to gear up the residents for the Fun Run. Awesome raffle prizes, special awards, and fabulous freebies awaited the lucky winners. Neighbors bonded over delicious food that included home cooked meals and delicacies. Ms. Joanna Co, the Community Affairs Chairman of the LGVHAI, led officers in thanking the homeowners for making the community fiesta a fruitful and memorable one. Indeed, the village fiesta brought the Ladislawa community together in the spirit of fellowship and camaraderie. Kudos to the LGVHAI for a successful event and cheers to more get-togethers to come!
